Oct. 10th, 2003 04:01 pmWorking on this story today… Criminy…
I don’t know how it happened, but it was never supposed to be this long. It was supposed to be a couple stories and JC and Justin were supposed to get together slightly after … Has A First Date. And now I’m at almost 75 pages… thankfully I can sort of see the end of the tunnel and I definitely know how the series is going to end. Which means I also know who’s going to end up with who.
Finally. Thank god.
Next story is called Every Good Plan… Has A Regrouping of Allies. JC, Britney, mystery guy unmasked, a quick appearance by Justin.
A side note on mystery guy… you guys seem to be pretty evenly split between Nick and Wade. I thought it was pretty obvious who it was but since I’m writing the story I guess I can say that ::grins::
I’ve got overtime this weekend (I’m non-exempt, which is an hourly employee that’s not union) for the first time in about a year. One of the girls I work with, who will also be working this weekend wanted to warn before I come in tomorrow that there’s a rumor going around that I got a $4.00 an hour raise.
This rumor? Started by my father.
My. Father.
Jesus like I don’t have enough to contend with working in a factory as it is. I so need to get a new family pronto.
To be fair he didn’t really say that I got a $4.00 an hour raise. He said that I (as a company employee) got a nice raise. Which somehow over the course of four days turned into a dollar amount. We just had a Union Contract vote and the Union people are pissed about the 2% raise they got. That’s the excuse that his girlfriend gave me when I found out about it today, I want to know why anyone felt the need to mention me anyway. I’m glad I didn’t tell him the actual percentage raise I did get, he probably would have told them that to.
I made a mention a few weeks back that I’d been dragged into this fandom. God help me… finding good FF that doesn’t utterly annihilate Michael in a Brian/Justin or Justin in a Brian/Michael is virtually impossible.
I guess the rule is if you like one pairing you can’t like the antagonist of that pairing? Who the hell made up that crazy ass rule?!
I have crazy Michael love. I think Hal is utterly adorable. I adore Brian within an inch of his life and I think Justin is just the cutest thing.
But it seems like if I like Brian/Justin I have to hate Michael. If I like Brian/Michael I have to hate Justin. I like both couples and want to read both pairings, instead I have to wade through crap that at times paints both men as a crazy hate filled evil incarnate if they can’t have Brian.
I did read one threesome fic by Xof which was fantastic. There’s been one or two that don’t seem to emanate with hatred for either Michael or Justin. But Jesus. It’s enough to make me just give up and say screw it, its not worth it.
