Just in case there is a mass exodus from LJ over the latest 'change' in TOS (they couldn't have told us this before I bought my permanent account? Not that I have anything in my Journal that would put me at risk, I don't think, but...

Anyway I have two alternate journals:

My Greatest Journal and My Insane Journal. I'm laniew1 at both.

What have they changed this time?

And is there a program you use to move your LJ pages to the new journals so you don't have to do everything all over?

This is the announcement that was made. (http://community.livejournal.com/lj_biz/241182.html)

I used Option 2 in this post. (http://brown-betty.livejournal.com/284083.html)

It was really easy, let me know what you name yourself and what journal you end up in. I'm going to continue to post to LJ and cross post to Insane and Greatest for now.

Aiyai. See, everything all depends on the person viewing the material and the context that material is in.

If everyone does start migrating then I'll definitely make the move, and it will be under the name I have now.

Thanks for the info.

I'm not going to worry about it, personally, at this time. I don't think the guy is clarifying it right. He can't be. Novelists write about kids being raped and teenagers having sex all the time. There are tv shows about teenagers doing all kinds of illegal things and having sex on regular tv. Stephen King wrote a very detailed account of a child being raped in The Library Policeman, a molestation in Gerald's Game, and on, and he's never been arrested. It's not illegal.

If LJ starts cracking down on people for underage sex in fanfic, it would simply be a violation of the first amendment, and they'd deserve to be sued for it. I think what they're trying to say, or what they should be saying, is that you can't write a story that advocates that you rape children. That sort of thing.
