laniew1I have the best co-workers/friends ever.
A few months ago I made mention to the gentleman who shares my office with me that I was looking to find something to store my comics in besides the crappy cardboard boxes that are a pain in the butt to get into.
He made mention that one of our retirees (he shared the office with us for six months before retiring and the retirement was planned so it can't be laid on our shoulders) did some carpentry on the side.
We drew up a fairly simple sketch (chest of three drawers, big enough to allow the comics to be stood, three compartments in each drawer) and e-mailed it to him.
He built it for me.
It's beautiful and I've been playing with comics that I haven't touched in years all weekend. I'm so pleased.
If I could figure out how to post pictures I would show it to you guys because it is absolutely breathtaking.
And just so this post isn't a complete waste of time: the second part to Peace Accord, which is going most likely end up renamed Other Peoples Toys will be coming soon. Work has been absolutely horrible lately so I apologize for the delay.
