You are most definitely going to get a sequel. The conversation about the mouse ears was one of two scenes that were the first ones written, the rest of the story just sort of evolved from those two scenes.
If by MJ you mean Michael Johns, no it's not him. You'll eventually find out who Zac's boyfriend is, though I will tell you that he's not been mentioned by name in the story.
